I'm really digging the colors Brilliant Blue and parchment. And also, using the word, digging. I've also been drinking hansen's because I like the fizzy drinks, but I think I'm in need of caffeine. the fat man is a character, the main one for my class. he's not done here, but you get the idea.

The man with the glasses....he's supposed to be Gaz from supergrass, but that's ok. I think I was reaching a point where I understood what acrylic could do.

Portrait of my dad on the works. He said it didn't look like him, but appreciated the thought. Hopefully I'll finish it...I haven't touched it in weeks.

I got very mad one day, and drew something that reminded me of the person who made me mad. I hate it when some people bring in drama, conflict where there wasn't conflict at all. Who thinks it's appropriate to point out the negativity when no one was asking for it?

I've been spending summer nights watching Conan and Craig. I wish I could see BOTH one day LIVE since they both are in los angeles.......but my brother doesn't want to see Craig (he thinks he isn't funny----so wrong) and conan...well we have to organize when we have "time"

have fun, it seems I had more fun during school days (not at school...went to concerts..ate out..more stuff)

wear the summer dress I bought a month ago....it's too fancy to wear out.
stop feeling soooo blue. Michael Jackson made me sad, and I can't get out of the rut.

get a job how can I get a job.....how do young people with no work experience (other than volunteering) get a job?
if I ever feel like I've finished all of this stuff...work on those craft things I've been wanting to do.

I've been having this song stuck in my head for so long, and since I can't add this onto my phone (for I have lost my usb cord that would connect to it the computer.....) I've been ached to not have this song play. I've been playing it once I get to this computer. It's just SO SWEET. And a song with Paul McCartney. This can't be beat. :)

I can see why Thriller is such a good album, for it is. Great pop album, a must. You know...Beat It (the riff part) has been remembered in my head since I was little. I don't know when it was engraved into my head, but it feels like I was born with that song in there. It's been in my memory for so long. My parents weren't fans, but they know who he is, and my brothers...aren't crazy fans, though they forced me to watch Thriller online when I visited them at college (long ago). Interesting how Beat It, Bad, Thriller, Billie Jean, and Smooth Criminal were songs I remember, I knew I knew these songs, I don't know how. I don't know what exposed me to these songs since I was born in the 90s and I don't remember a time when my brothers would play them (unless...the Alien Ant Farm cover of Smooth Criminal, and forcing me to watch Thriller). What power Michael's music has.

Michael was a sweet man. Watch those inerviews, he's kind. Maybe it's the voice that makes it all the more innocent. who knows...he was a great liar though, wasn't he? He put the rumor that he owned an oxygen tank, then talks on an oprah interview..it's just one of those lies... This guy...a little sneaky. Great fashion sense though, so independent on that, even when he was 50, this guy knew how to dress. I applaud him. I wasn't a big fan of him, but now I'm a fan..I think...and I deeply respect the man.

I don't know what will happen to me...when a musican...who I am a really really really big fan of pasts away. I've had a taste of grief, and it tastes horrible. It's like it gives a sickness, or a virus that lasts a long time..and the only antibiotic for rid of most of it is time. time will help. but time is not what I have...look at summer list. wanted to be motivated and going strong, and you know accomplishing all these goals with full force. Life is not very nice, things keep getting ruined.

It's too big for his mouth, even though it is for medium-small dogs. Also they're hard, so he usually prefers to "bury" them instead of eating them.

My turtle, one of the oldest. They don't have names since I never gave them one when I was young. I think she's adorable.

My attempt at something like Degas. I'm still trying. This is before I learned about the techniques in using soft pastel. I'll keep trying.....as well as the figures. I know she looks like she's about to fall off. Pity.

I made the hair decoration with feathers, fabric, glue, and beads. Not too bad...more practice and maybe next time I won't add so many feathers. I don't know when I'd ever wear this, but I know I don't want to buy something like this at Forever 21 for 5 bucks. I saved myself the $$. Cost of this thing like like a dollar. Most of the stuff I had already came from previous purchases and different purposes.

During the summer I plan to.....play the Sims 2 (but get a job or something...so that I can purchase Sims 3!!!) and watch Adult Swim every night (except for the Anime). They're gonna add The Office (BBC HELL YES) already with The Mighty Boosh and Look Around You. I mean since I don't have BBCAm anymore....I really needed this. THANKS ADULT SWIM! you know if [as] can just create a night block of British comedies, I'd love it.

Other shows that should be played on television...because new stuff sucks (like iCarly...it does. get over it.) Clarissa Explains it All, Adventures of Pete and Pete, Amanda Show (I actually believe there may be good comedy), what else full of nostalgia from the 90s....
Seriously...I'd like to see Clarissa. Some of those 90s shows had some dark stuff there. New stuff has none of it. I mean it does...but it's not Ren and Stimpy dark or Courage the Cowardly Dog or ooo I liked the Rugrats, those that was tame, tame but good, not cheesy...oor Rocko's Modern Life..that has some stuff here and there...they did a freakin murder of Mr.Big head episode. Mrs. Bighead "killed" him. Where did that comedy go? Honestly it's like parents for more conservative for NICK. Cartoon Network still has something going on there though like Flapjack (hard candy, maple syrup.....I GOT YA! it's alcohol! ) and Chowder..it's not dark, but it's like Rugrats in the sense (but more fun) its a good show. and Chowder has big man nipples over his big boy breasts. That's just fun. I'm for Cartoon Network. Thank you Warner Bros. Yup corporate entertainment company, you've done something right.

Now to study for finals.......I guess. God....

ok United States AP test OVER! YAY! I think I'll get a 3 or 4. Very confident I passed. I don't see a 5 in my future. Got into the scholarship to go to Saturday High. Now there is the problem of transportation since it's in...the Hillside Campus. NIGHTMARE. Just too far. Its on saturday...no bus to get there (Art bus I mean). Such a pity. I'll get there somehow. Almost done with studio art ap info. hopefully a 4 or 5. I feel confident because the teachers were so encouraging (this is bad). My high spirits will be crushed in June or whenever when those results come in.

Now to study Art History....next to studio art, my favorite AP class. On Wed. Study study cram cram.
But tonight...I'm gonna kill time and relax!
Looking at dresses online. I really hope I get to go shopping this weekend.
I need to buy those prom covers too. Or I'll wear a coat or regular cardigan. My decision is final.
Can't wait for prom, I love the ocean weather...when it's calm. Sounds lovely really. I won't be dancing but enjoying the scenery.

The last one is inspired by Whistler's Nocturne in Black and Gold. However, the book that showed it made it so dark, I've realized so much of an inspired. A warped inspiration.

Charcoal, fabric and me are good buddies. I wish I had an obsession with it though. I'm not too crazy about it. I see a strong skill here...but..

Not truly an accurate depiction, for he is just much better looking that this. it was on my sketchbook. I didn't bother to give 100% effort. And i usually do these things at night so I'm mighty tired by then.
I hope to add more when I see more pictures of him that catch my eye. I also have a Jonny Greenwood face obsession. I'll show some variations later. You'll see it.

My most prized work this year. I don't care if it was taken from a picture. I love it. Free poster made by me! My frugal side and my artistic side are full of satisfaction...although there are some things I could've fixed on his face. Ah...John Lennon. Wonderful. Color pencil. My first time using those Prismacolor...serious type of color pencils. I love using it. Dry media and control are just much easier. Unfortunately I can't use this for college crap. Maaaaaaan.

Art College is scaring me already. I am not confident that I have enough stuff for my portfolio. I need to stock up on figure drawings, but how can I do that....all those nudes when I don't have access to nude people? Just don't know what major I want. I'm at a fork in the road. If I want to go into animation...then I'd have to know a thing or two about it. I don't. I don't draw "characters" like a comic strip. There is no character I draw over and over again, unless it's Damon Albarn or Jonny Greenwood. I've realized.
Most of my works don't show the best I can do.

So far life consists of school and college. God I had no cable. We removed it on my birthday. I've had cable since....I'll say..2nd grade. So 10 years or so cable. And I had no internet at the same time. I was in such a depressive mood. You know my escape was gone so that hurt. Now I have satellite. And no BBC America, my haven. I mean I'm never gonna afford to go to the UK anytime soon, so that, my friend, was a taste of it. I couldnt' have developed an alright English accent, nor an Irish one. Wouldn't have been able to see documentaries on English things. pity...pity...pity.

It's been a while since...

It's been a while since I have communicated here.
Let's make this short. I'd take an hour to write this usually, but I've already spent my free hours chomping on Mexican food and watching Charlotte's Web and sleeping.
I got to see Snow Patrol before the new year. That was pleasant. So close yet so far away.
still a tired student. still frustrated with the world and myself. new year...let's see if any more growth in the self occurs.

Painted shoes for a classmate. she wanted to give them as a Christmas present to her sister. Not being a fan of Twilight...this was an odd task. I try, but...alas...I feel not enough passion was put into this. But they like or in fact her sister loves it, so I'm happy.

My Coffee and Donut Christmas sweaters. Oh they looked pissed but that's probably because of the flash and because they got no food from the dinner table even though they tried to coax us to feed them.
I blame my camera for such bad photos of concerts....I wish I could have a better one, because the people around me...their screens were big and so clear and the zoom was great. I got very little zoom as you can see as well as the camera's ability to adapt to lighting. Oh well. I have to wait until it breaks.

Took SATs. didn't do so well. I want....2000 area out of 2400. 2010...2013 i dont mind that area..but I doubt I can. Math is a killer since I've forgotten how to do much of this stuff. I have to rid of the old math and bring in calculus but this doesnt help my in the sats...they go as far as trig, and even then there is soooo little trig. All this probability and geometry to make me cringe. I was never good and reading and writing. I think too much or I miss the whole thing.

So next art project is color pencil os a close up of the face with an eye. I have chosen some selet. I prefer the 1st and the 3rd becuase they are big pictures and it would help me with the details. However, I enjoy the look of everything else because #2: cheek bones. fascinating!, #4 dramatic, #5 peacful man #6 I think its just the coloring that makes it so good. #7 its adorable
I'm a sucker for the color blue.
If I have time I might look for more hi res. pics and use them....I think I wanna draw a damon albarn. great eyes. well gary lightbody's are good too, if done at the right point, both men's eyes remind me of a classical greek statue...those marble statue eyes.

what we have.

In this blog I will post images and narrate my experiences in the last month or so. Basically, the Raveonettes at Pasadena, Supergrass (WHOOO!) in LA, and my art from class. Gonna see Radiohead soon...yes oh yes.

Well, I don't really know where to start. After school ended the dirty bastards had given me a mere few days to relax and get back up and go to summer school...which I believe was first PCC's class. Not as great in the ideas of projects--majority was the drawing of cubes, shadows of cubes, matching color vallue with sepia tones, and linear fucking perspective man. Boy, was that tough to do...the lines, the concepts couldn't be posibly understodd in the course of one week..or two weeks...or maybe even three. That was a hurdle the whole class had to overcome. In addition, trips to art center made me get copic markers, and we did some marker things, the only projects we really had. Then in the end we did little painting..main purpose was to match the value. We did get to eat every week, which was enjoyable and the people there were felow sufferers. Great experience..high school sucks, kids. Yup.

So what I got in the end were some of these...I'm not gonna show the cubes and its shadows...I made half-assed ones..in the two projects of cubes we had to do because it was 3 am and I that sleepy headache was taking a toll.

It's not all of it..there actually is a lot more, but as "decorative" or as good as eye candy gets..these probably are it. I have the 2nd picture as a painting..and it's almost done. Maybe one day I will show it. Who knows hm?

That was my first time useing copic markers, "figure" whatevers...the in depth linear perspectives and the value matching. Kinda wished (even though I stayed up until 3 everyday and still do) that class was a regular class, not summer because there is a lot more I couldv'e learned from this class. Met some interesting people who were a few years older than me and who believed I was much older that I told them I was. Rather odd, they all gave me the surprised expression and astonishment. I also found a radiohead fan in there who played a mix cd from bends to amnesiac which was great. Oh the food we ate there too..every week a different culture and for only 4 $ average then 15$ for a meal at a japanese restaurant (which is apparently not that great as said by the guy in my class who is very much into japanese things)

The ones above are of my own doing. 1st one is after the end of class..playing around, because we were briefly taught the ways of a face and I tried to get there...but I don't think I did. The 2nd one is something I was working on for a while..I never truly enjoyed this one..it was a mistake when I put on the permanent marker, and I've tried to do something with it and I think some people like it. Personally..it's an eh. Gotta keep working on it. The 3rd one was of a "quick" charcoal drawing of a plant in my living room. The 4th one is a face I did in class during school time...like June or May..I don't know if I finished it. I drew this face because this expression was what I felt. Seriously...school is like drone....buzzing...ehhhhhh. The 5th one is Jigglypuff. I was trying tp paint and I still don't have it. I'm not very patient so colors get mixed and jiggly puff looks a little funny, but that's ok. I was just playing around. Trying to work on a squirtle and hopefully that'll look as cute as that turtle. The last one was my attempt to paint a mouth.

The photos above are 1st of the last meal we all had together at that japanese restaurant, and me in the far end had sashimi. I love sashimi. The the 2nd of us in class on the last day, you can see my painting in front of me..on the left front. Good class we had.

Before my trip to PCC, I also had ROP in SGHS. Had Mr.Robb...a very nice..and fun teacher. Wouldn't mind having him as a teacher again...or for a real school year. Sucks it's not the same school..I'm beginning to find my school just sucks. I mean we do not have...or at least, not that I know of that has a real computer tech etc area. Also, I don't believe that our computers are as good as the ones in SGHS..I mean..they held their student files on a network things..all internet or something..I dunno complicated indeed but good compliated!

So during that time I discovered a service in Pasadena. I found out that they were going to have the Raveonettes play for free! and of course I wanted to go. Here are the pics...hot and sweaty..it was. Sharon..the singer was pregnant at the time so her sis sang instead. The venue after this one for the Raveonettes was to go back to Europe and play some big place with Franz Ferdinand. If only I could've gone. Anyway, the show was great, music great..it was just really hot...like whole back sweat stain..everyone smells and is bound to be sweating even those people who say...ooh..I never sweat.

I want to go to Souplantation. Just wanna point that out...
So my next conert adventure was to see the fabulous Supergrass...the one and only diamond hoo ha men creators. It was lovely...lovely. I got the front..on the side and the people around me were nice people. I really want to see them again. They also made an appearance at amoeba..which I didn't know about--where they signed and sang and god dammit I saw the pics man...NO ONE WAS SINGING TO THEIR SONGS...they were just standing there...all arms folded trying to like to music. Gaaah dammit!!!! Now, why would I be mad...well because after the concert I waited for 30 or so minutes hoping to see them and get a signature...a photo, a hug, dammit. No luck..and I had to leave. I mean how close was I to meet them? Well the merchandise guy was a radiohead fan...saw my radiohead shirt I wore and when I said hi to him after the show, when everyone was moving their equipment out, he said I should go to the side where supergrass will exit. I do just that and wait, bu no..had to leave..so..I lose my chance in meeting them. Only two other people were waiting for the band...and who knows what happened to them..they probably met them. pity great pity.

they did a fantastic set...even with encore. Oh I didn't want it to end.

Anything else in my life....let me list.
          --finished 600 pg book Grapes of Wrath it was a great read, you could connect to the Joad family and it's depressing that so many people had to move like that, and when you don't get a good ending...you realize that they are no special to the minor characters that pop in and out of their lives because, they, too don't truly have good hopes of a happy ending. they're just some family out of the thousands who go to the west you happen to learn more about.
          -finished Yellow Raft in Blue Water in 3 days...300 pg. I don't think I've ever done that. It's a great story of three females..all seperate time periods, but all relate because it's daughter, mom, grandmom. So it all connects, and the view points...the perspective is parallel to each other because all of them were once daughters... and grandmom was once a mom who loved her daughter and so forth. Just eye opening on the whole warp of perspective.
          -I am still...on ch. 4 out of the 6 ch..I have to read...and write notes on. Just hard to make myself do it....I've lost some fuel...and dammit I wanna stay at the gas station under the shade. It's nice there!
          -I've dyed my hair green..not all just somewhat chunky highlights on the front. I like it. Good change. And the shortest hair I've ever had in a decade.
          -a pair of my turtle has been pooping out some eggs! unfortunately..and fortunately out of the 3 we've known has come out...one one had survived and I cant tell if its dead or not. I mean if it isn't...or another one comes out...I dont know how to take care of such a small creature when it is so vulnerable to disease and other bad things. So I'd prefer not to have them..but it is a sign of growth from these turtles I've had for years. It's always amazing when you see animals have babies...not making them..but having them come out is just nice.

What I'd like to do:
-go to staples---SALE BABY SALE!
-finish all work before priority blah blah school
-go to souplantation..not kidding here...i think it's an enjoyable place
-eat more sashimi
-do some more art...finish the ones not finished
-go get costume clothes...thrift clothes...anyone know where?
-go to the beach..

Summer time is a good time to watch Conan. If only I could see the show all year--although, if I was truly addicted I would've watched the episodes uploaded on myspace. It's just not the same....ok yes it is.
Well so far....oh yes I'm going to see Supergrass on Saturday night. I don't want to pay 30$ but god dammit should I lose the chance to see them? I must say my vines experience itself was shit because I had asshole people push me around and had two fucking people just go at it literally is not less than one foot away (I can't explain how much I wanted to punch them--just fucking leave man if you gotta be so giddy!) so I lost my spot in the crowd and had to move behind a guy with an afro, obviously I must be the short one, and too timid to push people like a regular day in the lunch line, I suffered..slightly. I dunno, I hate the experience that I must be with strangers but the fact that these are the same people who enjoy this music and in a weird way there is a unity when they play and we all jump, it's nice....but the stranger part still gets to me because some could be total snobs and think I'm #1 fan no one can defeat me! God I wish there was some box they could go to and watch them, make less of a mess for me to suffer---and others! I'm not the only short, timid youngster here!

A month ago, in the Make Music Pasadena event, I saw the Raveonettes for freeeeee. Granted, it was very very hot, but for free, it can't go wrong! I'll have pics and details later....eventually.
Right now nothing is really annoying me but the anticipation there's gonna be a lot of assholes at the concert on saturday. I'm gonna see Deal or No Deal tomorrow...for 6 hours--I hate it when they just use the same audience--human bodies that clap for hours on end that make 4 episodes. Just annoys me so much. I understand the $$ they save but they don't give us free food, and we can't bring out own so we starve--god this tv taping better be good!

Ok.....March ...nearly a month ago, I saw the Vines at West Hollywood in the Troubadour. Lovely lovely....when they came to play.

I do have a few more pictures, but they're total crap, since I, being a short little Chinese girl surrounded by 6ft...Caucasian guys...one with a damn afro...it was rather difficult for me to take the pictures.
The first hour was standing there...waiting for the opening band. Some a holes behind me started nudging me forward ( I was about in the 4th row from the front), eventually pulling a bit of my hair, I got pissed, and some people next to me were doing pda...too much pda when you're so close to total strangers. So...I walked away from that area (later Hamish, the drummer would throw his drumsticks at that area, AND Craig (frontman) sprayed water to that area as well). Those motherf-----. Their conversation represented the assholery....douchebagery of some "hardcore" fans. They began criticizing the audience on the venue, saying everyone came with their girlfriends and these same people would obviously speak like this: "like...omg I can't believe I'm watch the streaks? no the fags....wait....no that's me" and how these stupid people would post the pics on myspace after the show. they also spoke of taking drugs....seeing The Vines again...it was so boring there....I put most of my attention to their conversation, since those assholes were so close to me anyway, I'm sure they probably even wanted me to hear it, thinking I was one of those lame people. Of course, I could be just...paranoid about that. But, they were the same assholes who started a mini mosh pit, I joined in for a few minutes...and fell, not hard, but that's ok, I can now say...yes...I've been in a mosh pit. Not many of the other girls joined in...they were all in the front, looking at Craiggy. When he started to reach for their hands, they all started yelling his name, and he smiled and looked at Ryan (you know...like...."man, the ladies love me..."). What a cheeky monkey. In response, I thought the best way to make someone else from The Vines feel "loved" is to to yell their name as well, and I did so to Ryan. I just yelled his name...hopefully he heard, so he wouldn't feel so sad that no girlies like him. :( I like that Brad and Ryan both wore hats. They were almost like twins, wear a coat and a hat, with the same hairstyle. Funny. And each were on the opposite side of the stage.
ANYWAY, the opening act....I cannot remember their name, but they did sound a bit like The Vines. If I ever find that ticket, I might just say who they are. Sorry. The end of "Spaceship" by The Vines is a rough summary of that opening band's music.
They played half new songs...Autumn Shade 3!....and the other half their singles plus ms.jackson and fuk yeh...and going gone (the opener). Their concerts are much better, Craig still ruins the drum set and guitar, but that's ok. He sings now! Instead of screaming...he's singing clearly.
I loved it. My brother wanted to leave right after the concert though...so I couldn't get an autograph or a picture, but that's ok. Next time...hopefully.
I tells ya, Craig is still young. Talking about how radio and tv is shit, trying to you know....change the world with his words...getting the audience to say kill the president...oh...teenage angst. Oh and he only smoked a little.
So....Spring break is almost over...literally hours now. Hfm.
I did manage to do some art thank god, for the art show......another one....on the 10th. The day AFTER my birthday.

I believe these are it. I'm still not done with the ballet girl by vega, and I won't finished it anytime soon. I've discovered I'm very harsh on the clothes part of her...it will take me a while to make it look like CLOTH than jagged metal.

I did the sketch late at night...so my perspective on anything was a bit off. So today, I just went over my pencil scribbles with permanent marker scribbles. Makes it look "fancier". He just looks like a possible chick and is pissed now.

then I added a hoof and a rose on that hoof. then eyes that were oozing some sort of icky pus-like liquid. This most definitely took me some meticulous attention to do.
The watercolor one is that of a totoro clock I have. I just made him fluffier and farting. The fart was so powerful, it pushed him into the air. Totoro is one of my favorite childhood memories. I have a bootleg of that show...movie...whatever it was from China town. I remember loving it. I should watch it again.

The 1st on the 2nd row^. Yup, pee and poo dolls from...Japan I believe. so creepy. waste as a cuddle toy. mmm hm!
The last one is ink....inspired by dave from blur, the drummer. I was practicing drawing w/o using an actual image...so I thought better to use a face I've seen...but not studied close enough to remember everything on their face. So I used Dave. Also, he has some sort of dumpyness...it sucks you barely see him in those early blur music videos. He wore glasses as get got older, mind you, that's why I have them there. It's not intended to look like him....it'd be nice if it did though.
